Vitamin C is essential for various bodily functions, including collagen production (which contributes to bones, skin, ligaments, and blood vessels) and immune system support. Guinea pigs cannot produce their own vitamin C and must consume it in their diet. A deficiency of vitamin C in the diet causes scurvy, a nutritional disease. Symptoms of scurvy may include loss of appetite, depression, lameness, poor coat condition, sore joints, and nasal discharge. Prevention of scurvy is simple by providing the correct levels of vitamin C. We’ve formulated Origins Vita-C Tablets to supplement guinea pigs’ diets with vitamin C and various other essential vitamins. Easily add Origins Vita-C Tablets to water, and they keep the necessary vitamin C levels stable throughout the day. Vitamin C supplementation is not necessary for guinea pigs that are fed Cavy Origins.

Directions for use of Origins Vita-C

Add 1 soluble tablet to 500mL of drinking water.
Change water daily.
