Description
Enrofloxacin (generic form of Baytril 10%) is a broad spectrum antibiotic used in veterinary medicine to treat animals afflicted with certain bacterial infections. This drug belongs to a class of antibiotics known as fluoroquinolones and is not effective against infections caused by viruses, fungi or parasites.
Powder Dosage: Administer 1 teaspoon per 1 gallon of non-chlorinated water for 5-7 consecutive days. Change water daily.
Treatment Time in Pigeons: Mycoplasma/Respiratory: treat 5-7 consecutive days. Salmonella/E.coli treat 7-10 days.
Treatment should be given in conjunction with a liver support supplement such as DMG-15 .
Following any antibiotic treatment it is recommended to use a probiotic.
Note: Should not be administered to puppies aged 28 weeks or younger. It should be used with caution in veterinary patients prone to seizures. Doses may also need to be adjusted for patients with severe kidney or liver impairment.
